About Me
I’m JP (John Paul) a farmer’s son from Cork, now working across agriculture, food, sustainability and AgTech.
My History
Tink and Grow work with AgTech startups, scale-ups, investors and established agricultural businesses to help turn strong ideas into credible commercial opportunities. That might mean shaping a go-to-market strategy, opening doors to the right customers or partners, sense-checking a proposition, building a sales pipeline, or helping investors understand whether a technology has real-world relevance.
Agriculture is full of innovation, but good technology does not sell itself. It needs the right market positioning, the right commercial model, the right partners, and a clear understanding of how decisions are actually made on farm and across the wider supply chain.
Having worked in dairy nutrition, sourcing organic produce, helping develop producer groups, supported growth-stage businesses, and worked with technology companies trying to bring new ideas into agriculture.
That mix has given me a fairly simple but valuable perspective: I understand the reality of farming, but I also understand what businesses, investors and partners need to see before they commit time, money or trust.
Tink and Grow is all about turning conversations into commercial progress, clearer propositions, stronger relationships, better deals and practical routes to growth.
I’m especially interested in businesses working at the intersection of agriculture, technology, data, sustainability and productivity. The companies that can help farmers become more efficient, more profitable and more resilient will be the ones that shape the next chapter of the industry.
For startups,
I bring practical market insight, commercial challenge and access to a trusted network across agriculture.
For investors,
I help assess whether an opportunity is just an interesting technology or something the market genuinely needs, understands and is willing to pay for.
For established businesses,
I help identify new opportunities, partnerships and routes to growth in a changing agricultural landscape.
This website is where I share what I’m seeing across the market, the trends, businesses, ideas and people worth paying attention to.
Agriculture has a powerful story to tell. My role is to help the right people, ideas and capital connect, and to help good businesses grow.
